Uninstalling Sage Exchange Desktop

You can use the Microsoft Windows Control Panel to uninstall Sage Exchange Desktop or manually uninstall it if multiple instances are installed. Follow the steps below to uninstall Sage Exchange Desktop.

To uninstall using the Microsoft Windows Control Panel:

  1. Select Start > Control Panel in Microsoft Windows to open the Control Panel window.
  2. Click Uninstall a program (or Add or Remove Programs) to open the list of programs installed on the workstation.
  3. Locate Module SDK on the list then click Remove to uninstall it.
  4. Locate Sage Exchange Desktop on the list then click Remove (or Change/Remove) to uninstall it.

To manually uninstall multiple instances of Sage Exchange Desktop:

  1. Browse to C:\[USER DATA]\Local Settings\Apps\2.0 on the workstation.
  2. Locate the installation directory by reviewing the contents of the sub-directories, looking for the file SageExchange.exe.config.
  3. Delete the directory that contains SageExchange.exe.config and the subfolders.
  4. Delete all instances if multiple installations are found.
  5. Follow the steps in Installing Sage Exchange Desktop to reinstall it.
